JAMIE EVRARD
Jamie Evrard creates rich floral and still-life paintings using oil paint, monotype and watercolors. Using dynamic, active brushstrokes, Evrard’s larger than life floral works rely on the qualities of her materials to add an element of abstraction to her recognizable forms. Drips, wide strokes, bold marks, and swirling colors reintroduce familiar subject matter to us as seen through Evrard’s eyes.
Evrard holds a BA in Art and Anthropology from Brown University, Providence, RI, and an MA and MFA from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. Her work is included in collections including Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver, BC, Seattle Arts Commission Public Works Collection, Seattle, WA, and the Claridge Collection, Montreal, QC as well as numerous prestigious private collections across the world.
