For most of my career I have worked on a flat horizontal surface with a variety of different materials and mediums. For this show I have been utilizing an easel and integrating the influence of gravity to manipulate acrylic paint. This has given me a new array of possibilities for experimenting with the physical properties and expression of this versatile medium.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThere is a gravitational pull that holds us to place and time; to memory, hope, loss, and desire. His surface patina and color wash conjure the erosion of primordial landscapes; his titles explore mythology and physical places, or are drawn from the past. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eDeveloping a process that allows him to achieve unique effects in his work, Rediske creates exquisitely crafted panels. Beautiful colors and painterly mark-making result in pieces that invite close inspection at different times of day and night.
