Cameron Anne Mason's 'Nisqually' Selected For Excellence In Fibers X

Nisqually, textile, 30 x 8 x 4.25 inches

Cameron Anne Mason's Nisqually selected by jury to feature in Fiber Art Now's 10th anniversary exhibition of Excellence In Fibers. Mason's sculpture can be seen on page 53 of the Winter 2025 issue. Works included in Excellence In Fibers X will feature in an upcoming exhibition at Schack Art Center in January 2026. More details to be provided closer to the exhibition.

Nisqually was included in Cameron Anne Mason's recent exhibition, The Fabric of Memory. To create her sculptures, Mason utilized surface design techniques including gravity ice-dye. The distinct ombre fabric is achieved as melting ice activates powder dye and is dispersed throughout the fabric. Through the inclusion of ice dyeing, Mason's work calls attention to the disappearing glaciers throughout Washington state and around the globe.
