WILL ROBINSON
Will Robinson conveys an effortless elegance within his large-scale stone sculptures. Stones balance impossibly atop one another, emphasizing contrast between polished and raw stone. Each piece highlights the natural properties of the stones themselves. Robinson's sculptures capture a myriad of subtleties, referencing recognizable shapes like undulations of ship sails in the wind, flukes of a whale, or the outline of a bird's wing in motion.
Robinson studied History at the University of Washington. His artwork was selected for numerous public art collections and site-specific sculpture commissions such as the St. Michael Medical Center, Silverdale, WA; Swedish Medical Center, Issaquah, WA; the Las Vegas Cleveland Clinic designed by Frank Gehry, Las Vegas, NV; and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Memorial Plaza, Bremerton, WA. His work is part of corporate and private collections across North America.
