ANDRE PETTERSON
Andre Petterson’s uniquely articulated pieces combine a myriad of techniques. Often starting by building an installation or sculptural form, Petterson then creates photographs combined with painting. Recent explorations have included the physicality material cast-offs and the increasingly visible impact of climate change. Petterson's interest in light, contrast, and motion give his work dynamism, while his sharp eye for detail allows him to create compositions rich with visual interest.
Andre Petterson’s work is shown across North America. He received various awards for his work in film and is featured in dozens of exhibition catalogs and publications. His artwork is part of collections including Canada Council Art Bank, Ottawa, ON; Pan Pacific Hotels, Seattle, WA; Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, BC; and Air Canada, Montreal, QC.
