Heron's Shadow
Will Robinson has the ability to convey through the elegance of his large stone sculptures that their creation is effortless. His sculptures emphasize the contrast between cut and polished aspects of the stones, highlighting the natural properties in each. Often looking to nature and the elements within it for inspiration, Robinson's sculptures capture a myriad of subtleties that must be continuously explored.
I have the great pleasure to see eagles and herons do their thing often, so no mystery that I am inspired by their grace and shape. This little piece was a challenge to convey some little bit of that grace into the stone. - Will Robinson
