"Guy Anderson. La Conner, WA, 1965. I did a monograph on Guy Anderson with Tom Robbins, who was kind enough to supply the following observations. 'In this small rustic studio on the edge of a La Conner pea field, Guy Anderson consistently produced big bold symbol-rich paintings that illuminated both the flesh state and the soul state of the human condition.' Since Guy Anderson was a powerful figurative painter steeped in mythology, it probably isn't surprising that naked nymphs would show up to cavort when he went for a walk in the woods." - Bob Peterson
