Will Robinson has the ability to convey through the elegance of his large stone sculptures that their creation is effortless. His sculptures emphasize the contrast between cut and polished aspects of the stones, highlighting the natural properties in each. Often looking to nature and the elements within it for inspiration, Robinson's sculptures capture a myriad of subtleties that must be continuously explored.
When I first worked on this sculpture, I instantly loved the quick zigs and zags that I had crafted. The shape has an almost manic movement for me. I wanted the base to complement the shape and be part of its unusual design. - Will Robinson
