Foster/White is thrilled to participate in the third annual Art + Culture Week from September 19 - 27, 2025.
On Saturday, September 26 at 1 pm, the gallery will host the Seattle Sacred Harp Shape Note Singing School. The group will lead a shape note singing session in which visitors are encouraged to participate. Tracing its origins in churches in New England and the South, shape note singing today continues to serve as a community and social gathering. All are welcome to attend this free event and no prior experience is required.

Art + Culture Week is a free citywide festival celebrating Seattle’s diverse art scene with cross-disciplinary collaborations spotlighting emerging and established artists to reflect Seattle’s unique cultural landscape. The third annual Art + Culture Week transforms Seattle’s neighborhoods into dynamic hubs of artistic expression. Attendees will experience a rich tapestry of visual art, theater, music, poetry, opera, and film in venues across more than 12 neighborhoods. The festival is designed to break down barriers to art, offering free, immersive experiences that invite public participation.
