Cameron Anne Mason's 'Sandalee' Selected For VIVID Fiber

Sandalee, textile, 29 x 8 x 4 inches

Cameron Anne Mason's Sandalee selected by jury to feature in Fiber Art Now's exhibition, VIVID Fiber. Mason's sculpture can be seen on page 58 of the Spring 2026 issue. Works included in VIVID Fiber will feature in an upcoming exhibition at the Herrig Center for the Arts in Bradenton, Florida from June 23 - July 17, 2026. More details to be provided closer to the exhibition.

Sandalee was included in Cameron Anne Mason's 2024 exhibition, The Fabric of Memory. To create her sculptures, Mason utilized surface design techniques including gravity ice-dye. The distinct ombre fabric is achieved as melting ice activates powder dye and is dispersed throughout the fabric. Through the inclusion of ice dyeing, Mason's work calls attention to the disappearing glaciers throughout Washington state and around the globe.

Cameron Anne Mason's upcoming solo exhibition, Alchemy, opens First Thursday, July 2 from 6 - 8 pm with the artist in attendance. The gallery will also host an artist talk on Saturday, July 11 at 11 am. The exhibition will be on view until Saturday, July 25.
