Company is essential to life. Not simply human to human. Over time I’ve become increasingly aware that either directly or indirectly our species is linked with an irreplaceable complexity of plants, animals and habitats that compose our home. Within this network, there are life sustaining connections between the species, and even habitat, some of which I celebrate here in sculptural form.

These connections have been fashioned by the powers of evolution and time. Herein is an assemblage of work conceived and developed from witnessing moments largely just outside my studio doors amid the woodlands, along streams and at the edge of the tides and throughout the seasons that each bring forward their own subtle, yet unique moments. — Tony Angell
