This image was created in the steppe regions of Catalonia, surrounded by cereal fields. The small building in the middle of the plain was constructed to promote nesting of steppe birds and other species such as jackdaws. What interested me most was the visual patterns the birds created around the structure and the contrast with the surrounding landscape. This scenery, with its serene and slightly dreamlike atmosphere, reminds me of Studio Ghibli films. - Xavi Bou
