Recast
Recast is inspired by the relationship of land and water and how they are ecologically entangled. It is informed by research on the impacts of mineral extraction processes. The color in the mosaic is created by a chemical reaction at high temperature in the kiln between two white glass bodies, referencing the use of extracted minerals in our daily lives. - Katie Miller
