For his 2023 solo exhibition Ritual Vessels, the artist created a series of eight dog sculptures based on the reddish, folk-art dog-effigy from Colima, Mexico. Also referred to as Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican hairless dog), these dogs  were thought to represent burial or travel companions in prehistory and are still popular tourist items.
