GEORGE RODRIGUEZ COMPLETES MAJOR INSTALLATION AT KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Nine larger-than-life ceramic jazz musicians move through the airport towards their next gig, with instrument cases in tow. Their clothing is decorated with patterns that subtly reference popular symbols of Kansas City culture and history. Taken together, the group represents the diversity of Kansas City’s people and its music scene.
The collection of works placed at the airport is the largest public art project in Kansas City's history and all the piece can be views online at the airport website.
