Paul Vexler's sculpture Endless Knot was recently donated to Hamlin Robinson School as part of the new Hayden Hall Math Resource Center. The Resource Center is named for Hayden Hall, one of the school's beloved math teachers who passed away from cancer in 2025. The Center pays tribute to Hall's contributions to the Hamlin Robison community and honors his legacy through his love of mathematics.

Like all of Vexler's sculptures, Endless Knot remains grounded in an intersection of art, mathematics, and physics. Vexler's wood and aluminum forms evolved from his understanding of geometry in the natural world and his expertise with large-scale materials. His work often express unique possibilities within wood or aluminum, exploring elegantly twisting loops that bend and curve into hanging intricate knots. Vexler passed away in 2022, after his own battle with cancer.

Endless Knot is on view alongside Hall's math games and iconic t-shirts donated by his family. The sculpture was generously donated by Sonia Siegel Vexler, Paul Vexler's widow.
