Cameron Anne Mason came to fiber art through another passion, performance and installation art. She has since become an expert in a multitude of textile processes, from dyeing techniques to surface treatments and intricate stitching. Taking inspiration from her process of ice-dyeing, the sculptures showcased in Mason's The Fabric of Memory pay homage to the disappearing glaciers of Washington state.

Materials: cotton, wool yarn, interfacing, rayon, and polyester threads,
mounted on wood panel.

Surface design techniques: gravity ice dyeing.

From the Ashes is a diptych with each panel measuring 30 x 14 inches.
