Open-Cut
Open-Cut explores altered landscapes from extraction processes and is inspired by open-cut mines carving into the landscape. The color in the mosaic is created by a chemical reaction at high temperature in the kiln between two white glass bodies, referencing the use of extracted minerals in our daily lives. - Katie Miller
