Ornithographies #305, American White Pelican, Cannon Beach, Oregon, 2024
Once again, I seek the contrast between geology —the weight, rigidity, and immobility of the rock— and the fragility and volatility of bird flight. On the Oregon coast, at the famous Cannon Beach, these sea stacks rise from the water. I waited a long time here, and just when I was about to give up, a group of pelicans flew in formation through the rocks. Sometimes, patience pays off. - Xavi Bou
